After attending many sit down lecture photography courses which were all theory and no practical side, we were looking for a hands on course. We highly recommend Martin's course! We were instantly impressed when Martin turned up without his own camera so 100% of the attention could be on us and our shooting. He made Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO make sense through a range of shooting opportunities around the city of Melbourne during the day workshop. The coffee breaks were great too and no question was too difficult - we like 'cheating' in his workshops! We then followed up the day course with the night photography course the following week and my goodness we've taken some amazing shots and again learned so much about how to use the manual modes and flash without making people look like ghosts. Martin was also always very aware of our safety whilst we walked the streets of Melbourne late at night. Thanks Martin, we'll definitely be back for another course!

Brilliant lesson from Martin. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, learning simple techniques to give our travel photos that 'wow' factor. Martin gave us confidence to use our simple cameras effectively. Bonus was seeing special parts of Melbourne that we normally wouldn't have. Thank you! Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Had an amazing afternoon with Martin (even if it was very wet) He made confusing things seem really easy and it was a pleasure learning from him. I saw parts of Melbourne I had never been to before. I would highly recommend one of Martin's workshops to everyone. I am going back for seconds in the new year to do a night workshop. Certainly great value for money.

“We attended a ‘Photography Made Easy’ Day Workshop. The workshop began with an informal chat with Martin about the techniques and skills involved in photography and then Martin guided us on a pleasant walk around the Melbourne CBD during which he assisted us in putting the theory into practice.

Martin certainly made photography E.A.S.Y. during the workshop …
- E is for Enjoyable! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the workshop and we are very grateful for the opportunity to share in Martin’s passion for photography and in his wealth of knowledge and experience.
- A is for Accessible! Owing to Martin’s friendly, helpful and entertaining nature, the workshop is accessible to all no matter how much or how little you know about photography.
- S is for Simple! Martin makes the theory behind taking the perfect photograph simple by explaining it in easy-to-understand terms. He is very respectful and patient and is always happy to answer questions and repeat his explanations.
- Y is for Yay! This is what you’ll be shouting when you start taking fantastic photographs thanks to Martin’s outstanding workshop.
We highly recommend this workshop as it is a truly rewarding experience.”

The photography session was a wonderful experience and definitely a good introduction to getting to know my DSLR better. I will highly recommend you to my friends who are interested in photography.
