I have just spent the morning with Martin and am overwhelmed with his passionate, warm, honest and professional approach to my lesson. I had not been able to grasp the technique of using my camera until now, due to blocking the issue because of wanting to capture the moment impulsively. He also made me aware of the dangers of not acknowledging your environment before losing yourself in the moment. His knowledge of our city made me want to be a tourist in my beautiful Melbourne and stop procrastinating in overseas experiences. TO ACTUALLY LIVE IN THE MOMENT. He has also offered to help me find a new lens or camera equipment if I need assistance. Thank you sooooo much Martin.

My day time session was a gift from my sister as a surprise. I arrived from Adelaide in the morning  she presented me with the voucher!! One of the best things she could have given me as alot of my non working time is fulfilling my passion of photography. The session with Marty was a turning point for me in my way of 'thinking' about taking photos  getting the most out of my 5DMK2. Marty was so patient and a natural at this, and I am looking forward to my next time in Melbourne to catch up with him.

Hi Martin, Just wanted to leave some very positive feedback on my recent training sessions with you. After doing 2 separate days of training I was able to go confidentially onto the construction sites that I am required to photograph as part of my role and produce some fantastic images! I found I was able to really 'tell the story' of the various elements and processes of the construction processes, I was also able to make the images aesthetically pleasing, using framing and composition techniques that you taught me. What was initially for me a daunting process (learning how to take professional looking photos) has now turned into a really fun and rewarding experience and I feel armed with the right skills as well as really enjoying what I do. Thanks again, and looking forward to doing the night photography course soon.....once Melbourne warms up a bit! Cheers, Vickie Nacap Australia

I spent the morning with Martin Bonnici walking around town and learning the finer points of photography. Martin changed the way I took photos from “point and shoot and hope for the best” into how I create feeling and emotions behind a masterpiece. Martin was a very easy person to talk to and he welcomed my ideas and questions. Martin also explained the history of what we where shooting and the architecture that was around the city. I now know how to take photos and get the outcome I imagined. This was by far one of the best experiences I’ve had, defiantly worth while.

Thanks Marty for a great morning last Thursday (20th May). Your explanations of some of the mysteries of my camera were so clear and easy-to-understand that I now have confidence in experimenting with different exposures, film speeds and white balance (which I didn't even know existed!!).  Also your enthusiasm and passion for your art has greatly inspired me.  I will never look at a puddle of water in the same way again.  Your workshop was one of my great learning experiences and I will be recommending it as must to anybody who wants to get more out of their photography or who just wants to see Melbourne in different way.
